Sorry to say.... – We used to love going to any Mary's location because we good be sure to get the same quality pizza, pasta and service. This Petaluma location doesn't seem to care about service and whoever trained their recent staff pass down the craft of creating the high quality meals that made Mary's a tradition for so many families. My last meal the pizza was burnt, the salad was skimpy and we had to send out an APB in the restaurant to find our waitress. Best Restaurant in Cloverdale – I've enjoyed the meals eaten there and especially the homemade soups. The menu offers a good variety of choices and prices.
Best all around pizza – I try to stop at a Mary's pizza shack whenever i'm the area. I wish they expand to more locations. The pizza is phenominal. It's not New York Style or Chicago style, it's pizza how you expect it here in Claifornia. Great sauce, fresh ingredients and great flavor. Once you taste it you'll always come back for more. The staff is always great no matter what location you choose. The Combination has just the right combination of toppings. The Bruschetta and Ravioli are also very tasty.
Could not finish the ravioli – The pizza had a great crust but the sauce was poor. The ravioli was made with some kind of spice I have never had in Italian food before. It that was Italian I'd rather get it from a can.
Avoid Altogether – My family and I used to love Mary's, however they have completely lost their flare and it is clear that they no longer are concerned about quality and have shifted to quantity. For the third time, in as many, we spent at least $50 for their pizza and pasta, and were delivered a pizza with a raw crust, and pasta that is too watery to eat. Great tasting pizza – Got the combo with a reluctant manager substituting the toppings on the combo so expect not to change anything on the menu. What you see is what you get. The toppings were good quality and almost to the edge. The sauce had a nice Italian flavor. The crust again was cooked OK, but it had that gum line again probably from too little water in the dough. You'll crave this pizza – I grew up eating this pizza at the original restaurant in Boyes Hot Springs/Sonoma and after eating pizza all over the US and in many different countries I still crave the Mary's Combo. The crust is perfect, the toppings plentiful and the sauce has just the right amount of spice to make it the pizza to end all pizzas. My wife loves the garlic chicken pizza. These guys know what they're doing, there isn't a bad thing on the menu.
