They are uneducated on the rights of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, have poor communication and transparency practices, do not abide by Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act, do not comply with Maryland's 2022 law on supported decision making. They are not trauma-informed and worsen issues with inappropriate talk therapy interventions.
