This was my first appointment with Dr. Self. She was wonderful. Taking time to talk with me and addressing my health care needs. I would recommend her and the staff to anyone looking for a plan to help understand diabetes, and lawn care health solutions to control diabetes.
I just read a previous review for Dr Self that was far from kind. I'm sorry that person had an undesirable experience... Maybe they were just having a bad day, or just in a really nasty mood and it came back to bite them. Because my mother and I both go to Dr Self and we're very happy with her. Dr. Self is the worst doctor that I have ever seen. I used to see a fantastic doctor at this location, but that doctor left suddenly, and so the office transferred me to Dr. Self. I went for my first visit with the new doctor, Dr. Self, and it was horrible right off the bat. The nurse who called me back couldn't understand basic things that I was saying about the medicine I was taking. I have been going to Dr. Mary Self for about 13 years. She is the best doctor I have. She know her craft and I would highly recommend her to everyone. Marilyn O'Day, Frankfort, KY.
Mary is a diligent and conscientious doctor. She is thorough in her all that she does. She truly cares about her patients and goes the extra two miles?? I’m proud to be one of hers??
Dr Self is direct but also compassionate and therefore probably tells many people what they dont want to hear. I am a two time cancer survivior and find her very knowledgeable and thorough. She actually takes time to look through your chart and explain things to you.
Patients would be lucky to have her as their endocrinologist. I no longer see her for I have moved. I miss her every time I see my new Dr. If you are having trouble getting an appointment it is because she has a lot of patients needing her smart sensitive approach to diseases that can make us all feel crappy. She knows this and never dismissed me as a person or my concerns on how I take care of myself daily. Staff always helpful and pleasant for the most part.
I was referred to Dr. Self by another physician. After a week of trying to get an appointment the referring Physician office was told Dr. Self is reviewing my information and would get back to them and let them know if she would "take" me or not. Obviously Dr. Self isnt in the business of seeing patients. I found this process not only absurd, but also offending. I promptly called Dr. Selfs office and let them know becaue of the process I no longer wanted to see this Doctor, and I use that term lightly. I have been suffering ... read more
