I understand everyone's perceptions and experiences of a health care provide are different, so it's not in my position to recommend not to see Ms. Spencer, I can only share of my perception and experience. She lacked in empathy when caring for my late mother that was on home hospice, and she would often have a pattern in forgetting to send in prescriptions, which would leave my mother without her important medication as it would lead into days the pharmacy was closed. Mary is a nice person but not the best Nurse Practitioner. I tried for months to make an appointment with her and was cancelled on/ignored. I said I had chest pain and she did not take me seriously but I heard many doctors/health care workers don't take black women seriously. She never scheduled check up. As a patient it felt like she didn't care at all. She would forget to fax paper work and never gave updates on results from specialist. I had to solve and research most of my issues.
