I have been a patient of Dr. Buchness for many years now and I feel very confident and comfortable with her. She always takes the time to explain what is going on with my case and does it with care. Her staff is pleasant and efficient, never had a problem. I highly recommend Dr. Buchness, she is a really good doctor.
Front desk staff is less than friendly and always demand all money upfront before seeing the doctor. One of her medical assistants greeted me with sarcasm, and even though I've been to Dr. Buchness a number of times for a procedure, it's always as if she's seeing me for the first time. She cancels appointments frequently and I think she should be a little more conscientious with her business, especially after accidentally sending all her patient's personal info in an email several years ago.
Business response:
I'm confused by this review because I get constant compliments about my staff. I explain everyone's medical conditions to them and ask if they have any questions. When I cancel appointments, it is often because I am advocating for the rights of my patients in Albany. With regards to the email incident, it happened over 2 years ago, was a clerical error by one of my staff, and everyone was provided with a year of credit monitoring and insurance against identity theft.
Dr. Buchones might be a fine director but her office staff is there to steal!! From you. There is no other way to say it. They condition the appointment only after I pay them some ridiculous amount of money they falsfuly demand I owed. And the funny thing is that they did the same exact thing to my husband a few month ago. It ended with them apologizing and refunding him the money. I have no idea what kind of a business this place is running but they proof to be pretty shady and dishonest.
Business response:
I'm so sorry that you had this experience in my office. Unfortunately, physicians who take insurance like myself are bound by contracts with the insurance companies. If we do not collect what is owed, it is considered breach of contract, and we are dropped from the plan. This would affect many of my patients in an adverse way.
