Rude, demeaning, said I was hurting my own progress because I was not wearing my splint for 18hrs a day (how is one supposed to do this and still work, speak, etc. there’s no way to have a conversation with a friend or coworker with this in). Raised her voice at me, belittling. All in regards to me stating my symptoms and the discomfort and pain I was still feeling. Stated she knows what she’s doing and I am not following her plan otherwise I would be better. Unprofessional, don’t waste your time.
A few years back, I published a 5-star review here because I found Dr Karkow to be very warm, attentive and knowledgeable. I removed it last year so as not to mislead people because something changed in the past 18 months, causing my experience and opinion to change drastically. During that time, Dr. Karkow talked down to me at office visits, brushed off some concerns I had because "she went to college" and knew what she was doing, tried to argue with me about having a new crown and not knowing the tooth number, and behaved ... read more
I was referred to Dr Karkow by my Dentist. I was informed she was The TMJ Guru in WI. It took weeks to get an appt with her. I was greeted by a cheery, encouraging lady. An order was placed for a very specific CT. I was told that employees from a large business near where I live came to her and never had any issues with going to large local hospital for CT.
