From the I-89 exit to the hospital is the most dangerous stretch of road in the Upper Valley. Few people on earth care less for the lives of others than the staff of Dartmouth Hitchcock. If they will put your life at risk to save 30 seconds of their precious time, what shortcuts will they take with your care to save a full minute? Find someplace with caring staff and avoid this gamut of self-importance. After my first few visits, I transferred my care out of state.
If you get an estimate for scheduled services here, don't trust it! DHMC sent me a $0 estimate for scans my doctor ordered and then stuck me with nearly $1650 in bills (AFTER insurance) after the fact. When I tried to call billing they said there was no way to dispute bills but that a supervisor would call me back...which they never did. I tried to leave a voicemail for HR (since they won't let you talk to a person) and sent in a complaint through the website, but nearly a week later nobody has contacted me at all. Whoever the receptionist is in orthopedics needs to be disciplined. She asked for my address. I gave her my address. She snapped, “Not even close!” My address has been the same since I started coming to that office. I don’t know what is wrong with their records, but it is a mess and the receptionist is rude!
