I was treated with respect and sincere concern during my stay. The therapists were terrific in getting me to move forward and helping me realize the gains I needed to go home. All of the nurses were super positive and understanding of what was necessary to get me healthy again. Thank you
My grandson was here for over a month and the staff is phenomenal! Almost felt like family. My mom went into Mary Free Bed barely able to communicate and unable to walk. She had had a minor stroke, but that was only a small part of her problems. In spite of appointments with neurologists, family dr, 3 hospitalizations, etc no one knew what was wrong with her. Within 2 days, the drs at MFB recognized that she has Parkinson’s. After a stroke I spent two weeks in May 2025 in the Mary Freebed ward at UM/Sparrow hospital in Lansing. My care and treatment were in every important way outstanding ! I am full of gratitude for the physical and occupational therapists who worked with me intensively, to the doctors who monitored and treated my complex needs with thoughtfulness and expertise, and to the nurses who tended vigilantly and kindly to my needs day and night.
