I wanted to love ME’s, but it was just an average BBQ place with high prices. IMO, the worst was the dry hard cornbread with crystallized sugar on top…the best was the pulled pork (but still needed sauce). My family’s from Texas, so I might be a little biased about good down home BBQ/cooking. I wouldn’t come back on my own, but probably would if someone else was paying. The owner was very friendly and made us feel welcome (hence the 4 stars instead of 3).
Yeah.... that was straight delicious!
We got the pork belly with mac n cheese and collard greens for sides. The pork belly had some dry and chewy pieces but the spices and flavors were good. They serve made-to-order fried chicken which take longer but are worth the freshness and good quality we'll try it next time.
