Good to see my doctor again since the pandemic started.
Dr. Ritchie has been my primary care physician for many years now. She is by far, one of the best doctors I have ever had. She takes the time to actually listen and understand your questions and concerns, while working with you toward a solution. She offers sound advice about treatments and procedures. Dr. Ritchie is an excellent doctor in every way. I have referred her to others. The new office staff, however, is questionable. I had an annual checkup which is free under the ACA. I was billed for the visit. I called the office who indicated that the insurer declined the charge. I asked them to followup since its free of charge under the ACA. They indicated they would investigate. I immediately called the insurer and was informed that a check was sent to the care provider - a confirmation number was provided. I then called ... read more
I would give Dr Ritchie a higher rating if I knew that she is simply not getting my phone or online messages , as opposed to simply not responding to me. However, this lack of communication has happened enough times that I no longer am certain.
Dr. Ritchie is one of the best doctors I have ever had. She takes the time to actually listen and understand her patients while working with you toward a solution. At times the office may seem hectic and busy, but when you are with her, she is the ultimate professional. She listens to you, without hurrying you, and manages to do this in a very timely, organized and efficient manner. I cannot recommend Dr. Mary Ellen Ritchie highly enough!
I was very pleased with my visit with Dr. Ritchie (new patient exam): thought she was thorough, listened to what I said/asked, took plenty of time with me. Wait time was about average, and they turned off the TV (ads for home buying) in waiting room when I asked. Did take about 3 months to get my first appointment, however. Had to ask Erin twice to get an incorrect item on my test request printout corrected (said it was handed off to assistant).
Dr. Ritchie and the PAare fine but trying to get an appt scheduled is a nightmare. For regular appts you have to make them months in advance and on 2 separate occasions I tried to make a sick appt with no openings for several days. I had to go to a walk in clinic. What's the point of having a family doctor? Also, the receptionist Erin is incompetent.
