My granddaughter was referred urgently by her primary care provider to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital in Tacoma for severe eye pain. When we called to schedule, the customer service agent (named Julie or Julia) was rude, dismissive, and lacked any compassion. My daughter was seen here for symptoms and because they were not textbook she was sent away and told "nothing is wrong" "I don't know why you're here" and doctors refused to prescribe antibiotics "no, she's fine. Honestly I went to the ER with my daughter and I was kind of an overly anxious crazy person. But every nurse and doctor and volunteer was very nice and understanding. They diagnosed my daughter after we’ve been to several doctors who basically told us nothing was wrong and we now have a plan in place and hope for a pain free future. My son has Asthma and couldn’t breathe, the ER was great no wait time at all obviously, they admitted us right away to stay at the hospital and gave my son all the attention he needed. They are very caring the RTs, RNs, doctors, even the gaming guy who goes around playing video games with the sick kids so they’re not bored is amazing. They talked to my kid as a patient letting him know ... read more
