I previously lived in Minneapolis, MN and contacted Marva's Place to consign some furniture prior to our move out of state. Marva's took possession of our high quality Baker arch back sofa & chair in Jan 2018 and they sold it in Feb. 2018. Consignment was a 50/50 split of sale price. They never sent proceeds to me, and only communication from them after sale was an email in March 2018 acknowledging sale & that I was owed nearly $600 (after already paying them a required $300+ to come to my home and pick up furniture). Marva’s handling of furniture pick up was lacking in several ways. First, you had to pay up front, yet scheduling pick up was difficult. Once scheduled pick up was agreed to, it had to be rescheduled twice as they didn’t/couldn’t keep the originally scheduled time. The third time there was another delay of about 3 hours.
