Love the atmosphere, service was great, and the food was fresh and very flavorful. We will definately be back.
We arrived at Maru tonight at 8:15 pm. They close at 9pm.(Although the fb page says 930) We were only planning on ordering rice with pineapple so we figured 45 minutes was plenty of time. When we walked in, the girl that worked there said 'Are you fast eaters?" Thinking I must have misunderstood what she said, I said what? Went in with a private party, maybe 20 people or so. The rest of the place was dead. 3 servers for the entire place. It took almost 30 minutes just to take our drink orders. I ordered sushi and was told by the waitress that she would bring me a dish for the soy sauce..never got the dish. My niece had to ask for a refill on her drink because it wasn't offered and we weren't asked how our food was. I was charged for fried oreos that I didn't get. How many Stars can I give you? I would have to double! I work for a food delivery service and had a order to pick up here this evening! What a exceptional staff, while my server went to get the order several other staff members came by to make sure I had been helped. Once receiving my order, the server let me know that sauces and chop sticks, plus other silverware was provided. I had a to go menu for my customer given to me. Awesome sushi menu. We have eaten at Maru several times and have enjoyed great food and service. Vegetable and Shrimp Tempura is our favorite appetizer. Try the fried noodles with shrimp!
