Short story long, when we bought our Jersey City home we knew we'd have a lot of work to do. There was a partition wall separating 2 apartments that we tore down, however in doing so it revealed that the existing railing had been neglected, newel posts sliced in half to accommodate said partition wall, loud shaky treads that sloped a full 2" from side-to-side. We called Marty Anderson & Associates because the stairs in our circa 1880s home had finally reached the end of their natural life.
