Like many, I left Martin's Point when the provider I liked left. The way they handled that was *terrible*. I had an upcoming annual physical exam and they sent me a message saying "your appointment has been canceled due to an unknown reason". Then they called. But not to coordinate the transition; it was an automatic message saying "hey, contact us about some important information regarding your provider." I called back and they'd reassigned me to someone. Ask any questions of your doctor during your physical and you'll get billed for an ADDITIONAL office visit because that's not what "well visits" are for. That's considered "treatment". Has happened to me 2 years in a row. Appointments get cancelled, incredibly long periods on hold (if you can even get someone on the line). Having to be seen in person to get meds refilled and paying hundreds for an office visit when labs would suffice. Today someone put me on hold -- after 10 minutes I hung up. Drove 45 minutes to arrive and be told my appointment needed to be rescheduled. This has been my doctor’s office since I was a child and I’m genuinely done and disappointed. Hour long waits, being bounced from different doctors because all of the good ones leave (red flag), and once you’re finally seen you feel rushed and unheard. Time to move on and follow my previous doctor.
I have been a patient of this practice since 2008. I received a notice over the summer that my doctor was leaving and that my family was being placed with another provider in the office. Both my children were placed under an MD. My husband and I were placed under an NP.. I had a phone conversation with my doctor before she left and requested that we all be placed under the same provider.
