Stopped at the pilot truck stop on Slover and came very close to hitting rebar hanging off the back end of one of their trucks. If you have anything protruding from the truck more than 4ft, you’re supposed to have a flag/high visibility indicator to alert drivers. If the driver stops at a red light, another car coming from behind might not notice it and impale themselves on the rebar. I tried to locate the driver inside the pilot but couldn’t. Making rebar deliveries there very friendly people .
I was friends with management and got a job there cause i needed a job badly and found out they have extremely little regulation for safety and diversity. If you cant work like they do or speak their language, this isnt a safe job for you. Youll be screamed at and the workers will endanger your life by abandoning small parts of a project. A kid my age had his arm broken because of this he left the first week i was there and i left a few months later because the jobs were becoming more and more violent with no promise of comp... read more
