I'd give this company zero stars if possible. They will steal your deposite, steal your money, and treat you like garbage. I'm embarrassed that a business like this exists in Martin. Do your research on this place before you rent from them! They are absolutely terrible.

To all UTM students and anybody thinking about getting off campus DO NOT RENT, I repeat DO NOT RENT from Martin Rentals. The rental company is greedy and does not stay true to the lease agreement you agree to. They have terrible attitudes toward tenants and are very difficult to work with. BE AWARE OF THE ALL OTHER RULES APPLY CLAUSE (which does not exist). They make up rules as the year goes on. Such as writing a ticket for a boat in your drive way. YOUR driveway. I have rented from them twice. The only problem I had was they deducted for carpet cleaning out of my second deposit. That was my fault because I did not clean the carpets. I think they were all very nice. Ms Lyles talked with me but iI did not walk in there with attitude and I followed the rules. I just wish they did shorter leases than a year

TERRIBLE. They are difficult to get ahold of, the repair man is always late or never shows up. Mold is in every house and they refuse to acknowledge it, they will hit you with hidden fees that are not written into your contract and defend themselves saying "its cheaper than city ordinances." They will not give you the deposits back no matter how good the condition of the house is and they are all rude and inconsiderate.

WARNING... don't do it! They are terrible, Wanda Lyles is terrible. They have over 1000 properties but only ONE maintenance man... don't count on getting anything fixed. Wanda will never directly communicate with the tenants. The women at the front said themselves that they catch all of the hell. If you want to live in low level housing at top prices, not getting your deposit back when leaving in better condition than when you moved in, and getting charged for batteries in the fire detectors that aren't bad, then this is the place for you. also don't expect to talk to a manager, they don't think it's their responsibility to talk to you... you must negotiate with the people that don't have the power to do any thing... and if its broke it will stay that way.
