Great facility for exercise, swimming, and in my case a banquet for my family reunion. The cost to reserve their space is extremely reasonable. They have audio and video connections and tables and a kitchen to use. There's sufficient on-site parking for guests.
I haven't been to the MLK jr Rec Center since it was located near the MLK jr center. Wow! What an upgrade. The building was very nice with plenty of amenities. I loved the gym area, spin room, pool, computer lab and more! The lady at the front desk was informative and kind. I'd definitely visit again and explore more of the center.
My son was refused to play football due to financial hardship. Coach Steve is very rude and I don’t recommend any single moms who are struggling to attempt to allow your child play with this team. Coach Harvey is very good with the kids and works hard to help the boys succeed but Coach Steve will discriminate against you if you are struggling and requesting to sign up through hardship. $5 guest entry. 4 swim lanes for lap swim—quite busy in the afternoon, 2+ people in each lane, and everyone shared lanes well. Lockers were pretty small.
