Avoid any Martello managed properties at all costs. Martello is an extremely neglectful slumlord and only cares about owner profits. Multiple buildings in their portfolio have intensive german cockroach infestations (and silverfish and cockroaches) - so much so that residents will mention them in passing when you talk to them. Rani was amazing, polite and knowledgeable. She was happy to answer all of our questions and she solved all of them patiently 100/10 for her.
Scum. Get the name of your property manager on your building and report them to BC Financial Services Authority (BCFSA) - that's who gave them their licenses which they don't deserve.
This company treats tenants poorly. They don't answer questions, delay service requests demanding useless information like serial numbers of appliances which are irrelevant when initiating a service call, and completely ignore any negotiations when teying to renew leases. They are half assed ifinally that they do.
If I could give these slumlords a zero I would. They are cheap and the apartments are barely given any upkeep, but the yearly rent increases keep coming.
