Had never been until this year, we played music there , and had a 100% awesome time can't wait to come back and have good food and entertain. ... Thanks
The food was very good, based on that alone I would give this place a 5 rating. The service was very slow, primarily due to having one menu available (for the entire restaurant) on a large dry erase board, which was hauled from table to table. Our server was very helpful and apologized for the slowness of the kitchen. Based on cleanliness I would rate a 1. The table cloths were filthy, caked in dust. The bathrooms had probably not been cleaned in years. The facility is in need of a good power washing.
Our waitress had the WORST attitude and made our $500 experience terrible for my boyfriends birthday dinner and all 14 of us native of Savannah. She is a disgrace to that restaurant considering all the good things we had heard about it. I am happy to share her name.
The food was awesome. My low country boil was perfect. My wife had the pork chop, my kids had the ribs, all food was great. The place is a hole in the wall, wait staff mediocre, the flies will piss you off, but the food is top notch for the island. I would return.
This is a tourist trap. They have a contrived quirkiness with 1 chalk board menu daily that you have to and I quote " wait your turn to order". We let the waitress know we were on a little bit of time limit which she said would be no problem. Food was ok. Service was not so good. Overpriced and not worth "waiting your turn" in my opinion.
Waiter nice, waitress not so much and she insisted on having our table. Had allowed hour and half for lunch. Took almost all of the time to get three sandwiches and they only had five tables of customers including our group of three. Food not good and pricey!!!! $89.00 for what we got was robbery. Hope I NEVER come back.
