Over 2 years ago I was referred to Dr Abu-Saab of SightmD as I had an eye injury , from getting hit in the eye. It was excruciatingly painful. The local acute care facility was able to tell that I had abraded my cornea and that they could not help me, that I needed to see an eye doctor. I was in Massapequa. These people are very aggressive in trying to collect $25 for "missed" appointments even when the appointment was cancelled in advance. Which it was. On the other hand they have zero issues changing appoints sometimes multiple times up until the night before a morning appointment the next day. The final straw was when I was in the office waiting to see a doctor and was informed that I could not see him unless I signed a paper acknowledging that I "owed" them $25 for the missed appointment. This one star review is not for the actual doctors or office staff at site MD it is 100% for the billing department. Don’t ever let them make a mistake where they owe you money. I’ve been trying for four months to get a refund since they overcharged me for my glasses . I understand everyone makes mistakes, but this billing department is definitely ghosting me and now I had to file a Better Business Bureau complaints and also with my credit card.
I had cataract surgery and developed a blurriness over that eye which is common . Dr Almallah performed the Yag procedure to correct vision and when he zapped that eye it made me near sighted in that eye. I had paid extra money($4000) for the special lens so I wouldn’t have to wear glasses for distance. He offered to do laser surgery on that eye for $500 to correct it but I didn’t feel I should have to pay for his mistake . So now I have mono vision. Not what I wanted or paid for 😢
I recently had surgery with Dr Potash, I was put at ease before and after surgery all my questions and concerns were addressed Dr Potash is always patient taking his time to explain everything to you. The office staff is considerate. I’m always seen promptly . M.Barrow
Before you have any surgery done on your eye with Sight MD make sure that you get your cost inclusive of ALL charges because they will rip your eyes out with all kinds of charges. They are the worst with billing that I have ever dealt with and so many extra charges that are not discussed with you prior to your surgery. Stay away from this place.....
Post cataract surgery; I don't see as well as I did BEFORE cataract surgery. Dr. Ellant says since my cataracts have been removed I can now see clearly that I CAN NOT SEE CLEARLY (??). Many floaters in my right eye were supposed to be eliminated by removing my cataracts. They weren't. Dr.Ellant tried to sell me $3000 implant-lenses (per eye), even though I am on Medicaid. This cost would have come out of my pocket. I declined. Then came the offer of $1800 lenses (per eye). I declined. Then he suggested that any eye drops I w... read more

Dr. Avni performed cataract surgery and my left eye now has a "blur" dead center and his reaction when I told him was so rude and uncaring, he said and I quote "it's not like you're blind". Horrible attitude and apparently it matches his skill.
