My son went to Marshall Medical Center South on January 1st with an overdose ! The experience was horrific for the most part in the er! They left him out in the lobby with 216 Benadryl in his system! Finally he started seizing and they took him back and started working with him! He had to be put on the ventilator! I called throughout this awful experience to have some of the staff very rude to me not to mention my son is back there and could be dying! Awful manners, very rude.
They need to do more research on how to care for an intact penis instead of just examining patients for ten seconds and telling them they need a circumcision, with no explanation and no prescribed antibiotics or treatments. My son received 0 medical care from this facility today because he was uncircumsized. The doctor also forcefully retracted his foreskin and MADE A JOKE TO THE NURSE as he was examining my child. RecommendedFirst of all, if not for the ER nurse that was on her toes knew something wasn’t right. If not for her, I wouldn’t be here. I was sent for emergency surgery which Dr. Monk performed. She also saved me. I was told I had a wonderful nurse that never left my side while in ICU. God worked through these nurses and doctors because I shouldn’t have made it. I don’t remember any of it but I can’t wait to meet these people that saved me. I will put my trust in this hospital every time.

I had my knee procedure today there and the day surgery staff recovery staff, is absolutely amazing, super nice, very helpful, my procedure went great, I couldn’t have asked for no better care anywhere else! They truly ROCK and Dr. Smith is a wonderful surgeon!!
the ill treatment started in the er and continued to the patients floor.
Bad experience in ED department. I won't go into details.. Other services have always been super over the years.
I want to say a special thank you to the day surgery dept. All the staff,doctors etc.... I had the lapband surgery here May 2018, Gallbladder surgery September 2018. My granddaughter had her tonsils removed here today. Cannot say enough. Very professional,kind and the best bedside manner!
