Dr. Mertens has been my PC doctor for over 25 years, thanks to her encouragement I've lost over 75 lbs. Her referrals to different specialists and her encouragement to exercise more, have led to a longer and happier life span.
She is caring, detail oriented and trusted. She responds to questions in a timely manner. Her referrals are top notch. She is an excellent primary care physician.

I am very pleased with Dr. Mertens as my caregiver. She is very professional, caring, attentive and extremely supportive. I truly appreciate her no nonsense approach to my medical care and that she listens to what I explain why I am being seen for.. Her assistant Carla is always happy, friendly and attentive which is helpful whenever I've been see.
Dr. Mertens has been my primary doctor since I was 14 years old and I am now 51! She truly cares about her patients. When she left St Louis, I went to another doctor for a year or so but then decided to drive to Hillsboro to see her instead. She takes interest and is easy to talk to and get help when you need it.
