I have been using Marrs Tree Service for at least 10 years. He does a great job and I will continue using his service. I highly recommend this company.
I called Marrs Tree Service to get an estimate for trimming a tree. My neighbor was invoking his right to trim limbs overhanging his property. However, the trimming he wanted would have , in essence, destroyed the tree.I called them for two reasons: they used to live here and I was seeking out information as to the history of the house; also, as past owners, I believed they had some attachment to it and the landscaping of the house. It is true Mr W******* called me to ask questions about history of the house that he now lives in. He really was calling because he wanted a bid from us because his neighbors to the west wanted one of the trees pruned up and away from his yard and house. He talked a long time about the neighbors and having conflicts with them. I lived in that house for 6 years and are still friendly with the neighbors. Hard workers, started with a chainsaw and a truck, both my father,aunt and uncle started with nothing but with hard determination they have built a client list where they don't take in many newrt customers much because they keep busy taking care of customers that have been 20 plus years of returns.

Don and crew just spent pretty much all day removing a huge dead elm from our back yard that towered over our house and deck. The crew was able to get their equipment close enough to get the job completed without damaging anything. They cleaned up all of the debris (which took up an entire truck) and left the yard in good condition. They have taken care of our heavily wooded lot for many years and I wouldn't call anyone else for assistance.
Wow, after waiting 6 weeks for just a bid from Marrs Tree Service, the owner shows up, asks me what I want done, then instead of taking the time to discuss with me why he won't do it, he instead insults me, tells me to sell my home and move if I don't like the tree hanging over my brand new roof or expect to grow grass in my yard! As he departs, he tells me 'sorry you wasted my time'!!! Not up for rude and insulting from a contractor !! Warning to others, DONT WASTE TOUR TIME!!!
I have lived in Lenexa for over 40 years and used several different companies for tree service until finding Marrs Tree Service. Since that time I have used them exclusively knowing that I will receive excellent service and be treated fairly. Highly recommended.
I have used Marrs multiple times over the years, and I have been very pleased. When they start work at 8, at 8:05 there's someone up a tree working. Don Marrs has been very helpful about saving trees that were compromised, consulting on a damaged tree, and doing only what was necessary to keep costs down. I can't imagine him badmouthing his crew like another reviewer stated. He has always been polite to me and everyone I have seen him interact with.
