White-haired security guard used physical force and appeared to engage in racial profiling On Saturday around 7:00 PM I entered the Marriott East Lansing at University Place to use the elevator to the public parking ramp under the building. There are no signs restricting public use of the elevator for people retrieving vehicles from the shared parking structure. As a frequent guest who visits several times a year, I can’t say enough about Joe, Derek, and Hannah at the front desk. They always remember who I am, make check-ins seemless, and accommodate any minor request without hesitation. Top tier service as always. A+

This was our first stay at marriott in east lansing and we drove all the way from evansville in about 6 1/2 hour drive upon arrival we were greeted by Derrick. Derrick is the reason im giving a 5 star. He was exceptional from the time we checked in to the time we left. He was super helpful everytime I visited the front desk and it was a lot.
