This hotel is normal. I wouldn’t recommended nor would I try to make you avoid it. Comparing to other hotels by Marriott Bonvoy (eg Aloft Al Ain, Marriott Hong Kong Ocean Park), this hotel is far left behind, especially in the state of the rooms (it is dirty under the beds), the gym equipment, the size of the pool, and the overall view of the hotel. In addition, the rooms aren’t cleaned everyday, once per two days.
The whole night, especially when you turn off the lights and lie in bed ready to sleep: the sound of suitcases rolling in the hallway, doors opening and closing, a woman on the phone in the room to the left, the TV from the room to the right, people talking in a distant room, the creaking of the floorboards… It didn’t quiet down until 4 a.m., and by 5 a.m., it felt like the entire building was waking up—there was the sound of doors opening and closing every single minute. Definitely nicer than many similar priced hotels I’ve stayed at. Room was clean and pretty stylish. Stayed for work travel, would definitely book again.
