Total Marriage Refresh was great! Lots of practical content that can be put to use. I also liked that it was broken into 45 minute presentations with 30 minutes of time to immediately debrief one on one. Dr. Wyatt coming around to check-in during that time was helpful as well.
It was very informative. I know people might feel like why go because there might now be anything new to learn? You’re wrong. Sometimes you need to hear and relate to the problems discussed and how to fix them. It helps it hear them a lot and know they are common. These exercises help you focus on your partner while your practicing it during the retreat. It encourages communication and vulnerability. Dr. Wyatt Fisher was also touched on a lot of topics, answered questions and check in on all the couples. He was great.
Today’s session opened my eyes up to things I was not even aware of. Things that never would even cross my mind that my partner was going through. Today provided real tools that I can use to improve my marriage and how I am there to support my partner.
My first marriage retreat was very helpful. Dr. Wyatt created a safe space, allowed time for meaningful bonding time for my partner and I while sharing eye opening and valuable content. I highly recommend the marriage retreat.
