On March 7, 2026 Saturday evening our male ShihTzu had his eye ripped out by another dog. We called MarQueen's and took him in. They were the best. Our pup Winston was taken right into surgery. They told us that he would loose his eye because of the damage. They kept him over night and did the surgery to clean up the wound area and stitch it up. They did a wonderful job. Marqueen is one of the few places open 24/7. Seamless experience, no wait time, very responsive staff. 1st life threatening emergency ever for us. Didn't know what to expect. Urinary blockage in a young cat that they fixed successfully. At least 4 hour interval monitoring of your inpatient pet unless it's more life threatening, I heard. I felt at peace knowing he is staying there. Prices, I heard, are higher, but they can help your pet requires 24/7 hospitalization on site. Regular vets don't have such capabilities. Waiting to get in is as bad as being at the hospital emergency waiting room. I've been waiting with my sick kitty for almost 4 hours.
I would give no stars if possible. I took my dog in for an overnight stay & all they did was gave him IV antibiotics & fluids. They didn't run labs for his condition. They went off the previous visit from my regular vet's tests that were taken 4 days prior. I don't know why I would have to pay almost $2,000 for NO tests. They didn't give me any answers when I picked him up either. They wanted me to pay them $7,500 to do a diagnosis to give me answers. Compassionate and easy to do business. Our 17 year old cat was sick and no chance to recover. We had never been through the euthanasia experience, so we weren't sure what to expect, (except the process is "quick"), however, if we were ever to go through this again we would request a very detailed outline of what to expect.
