Dr Markman repaired my knee in 1997 .I have had no problems since.
Dr. Markman is the best there is. Through arthroscopic surgery he pretty much reconstructed my badly injured shoulder so well that within 8 months I was resuming the sports that damaged the shoulder in the first place. I had three major problems: bone spur, torn cartilage, pieces floating around...I can't say enough good about Dr. Markman. Years later, the treated shoulder is still as solid as the other one, my surgery was 100% successful. Dr. Markman knows shoulders, period. I wouldn't go to anybody else.
Dr. Markman had a wealth of knowledge about my knee injury before he even showed me the pictures from my scan and showed me where my knee injury occurred, he also told me how much of my meniscus they would take out before my surgery and what would be the outcome of that. He is a very easy man to work with, he made his explanation simple for me to understand and made quick work of my surgery. Dr Markman has a rare combination of tremendous skill and a patient bedside manor that is remarkable. Not only did he do a fantastic job of repairing my knee, but he conveyed the process and what was to be expected in simple language during my pre-op meeting with him. In my post-op meetings with him, he used that same simple explanation of what happened and how to rehab my leg. I can't recommend him any higher. Plus the entire staff at TRIA Orthopedic was top notch.
I can not say enough good things about Dr Markman! I have been a patient of his since 2000. I was in need of my 3rd ACL knee surgery on the same knee. A couple other doctors felt it was futile to operate again. At that time I was only 29yo, so to have such an unstable knee was really a hinderance preventing me from so much. Dr Markman did the surgery, and did it WELL! His was the only surgery to last (11yrs now). My other 2 surgery's only lasted about 2yrs each. I recommend him highly!
