ruined a chistmas present I am very disappointed in Market Street Munchies. I used to live in Charleston and sent a basket to a friend as a Christmas Present. I ordered it on a Friday and the next Friday it had not arrived. I was assured by the worker there that the basket would be delievered on Thursday. The worker failed to tell me that UPS had a holiday schedule resulting in the package taking 9 days to arrive. Thus missing the reason I had sent the package in the first place. I called the company and I was told by the em... read more

My Grandpas Wonderful goodies Shop market street munchies is my Grandpa Dave's shop, and it will never get old! I love helping him cook everything there, and I get free samples! lol. It is the best snack shop in Charleston, and I am telling everyone who is planning on going to Charleston to go there, and get some snacks and goodies from there. After you get it once, you will want it again. Whether its the benne waifers, or the chocolate bars. You will love anything you get from there.!!!!!

Expensive and Environmentally Unsound Relatives in Charleston sent a $35.00-$50.00 (plus S&H) gift basket for Christmas this year. The actual contents were only enough to fill a small shoebox. They were: a 16-oz. bag of Benne wafers, a 12-oz. bag of red bean soup mix, an 11-oz. bag of grits, a 16-oz. bottle of Sticky Fingers barbecue sauce, a coffee cup, a refrigerator magnet, an 8-oz. bag of jelly beans, an 8-oz. bag of peach slices, and 6 pieces of hard candy. These items were packed in a cardboard gift container that was f... read more

all the flavors of charleston This little shop bakes up some of the famous treats of the south and especially Charleston. Very good benne wafers are made here, they make wonderful flavorful sauces that are only found in this area - the lowcountry as they call it. This is a good place to come for buying 'special' treats to give as gifts.

Adios Diet Once you walk into this shop, please leave your diet outside. I am a great fan of the sugared dipped pecans, yum. Just fill up a few bags of various treats and eat them as you walk around Charleston. Of, if you must, bring them home and save them for later, either way, you will enjoy everything you buy here.
