I lived in this building from April 1st, 2021, until July 2025, a span of four memorable years. Due to a transfer in my line of work, I recently had to relocate to another city, and I already miss both the building and the community around it. This residence was a home for me! I have lived here for a year and I like the unit that I am living in. It is clean and the building is kept clean. I have not seen any bugs or something. Staff members, Marilyn, Hugh, and Thomas, are extremely helpful and accessible even during weekends.
Landlord is fraudulent. You’ll end up paying more rent than new tenants. They’ll Increase rent by more than 2.5% which is the allowable increase as per the tenants act.
The landlord is BAD. realstar appears to employ deceptive tactics by exploiting a loophole to raise the rent by more than the permitted 2.5%, resulting in tenants paying higher amounts than what is advertised for new renters on their website. It feels like existing tenants are being penalized due to their greed for money. You can certainly find a better house if not an apartment at this price, so it's not worth the cost.
