I loved it. Omg, where do I start? The breadsticks- Absolutely Delicious! I fell it love with them the moment I bit into it. The waitors are absolutely fantabulous. I HIGHLY recommend it. Yummmmmm. GO THERE FOR SURE. =D
Good or really, really bad depending on the dish. – I have been dragged to Market City several times. The menu is either good or really, really bad. Sometimes the food is excellent, sometimes it is downright awful. The lobster pasta is dull, the salmon is good. The cheesecake tastes homemade, the peanut butter and chocolate tart should be banned. The service is good. The restaurant is pretty, but the tables are too close together.
Great lunch place We keep coming back to this place for lunch. I have low expectations for a chain-restaurant (even if it's a very small chain), but I'm positively surprised every time we go here. The specials are yummy and they post the prices on the board with them. Extra bonus: rather than running back and forth with refills every 5 minutes (I'm thirsty!), they give you a pitcher of icetea. Yay!
great for pasta As simple as this place is, I really like it. The servers are nice, the prices are reasonable and the food is really good. Fresh bread, fresh pasta - I seem to be stuck ordering the rotelle with cream sauce. Mmm.
Consistant Terrible Service – I don't mind the food here, but they just can't seem to get their servers to pay attention!! I don't know WHY I keep going back, because the 8 times or so that I've been there i've wanted to complain about the service. Many times I have had to get up and get my own vinegar/water/bread. I've walked out at least twice because no one ever came around to get my drink order when I was sat. If ONLY they would work on that, it would be great.
Reliable Restaurant Market City Cafe is a nice restaurant. It's good for kids, parties, working lunches, etc. The gimmick is the glass filled with fresh breadsticks. Market City has a good selection of pasta, pizza and salads and it's pleasant enough. Prices are reasonable, service is good and the restaurant is nice, but it just feels a little impersonal. However, I eat there at least once a week, so I can't complain. (Edited March 22, 2007)
Good Italian for a reasonable price. – Pretty good light Italian food and nice place to and talk. It's a great lunch spot to come hang out with co-workers.
Good, Good – Restaurant's Interior Decoration and Atmosphere is great; relaxing and casually romantic. Service is welcoming and friendly. Food is above average, but not outstanding. Complimentary bread and water is delicious. Food ranges from 8.95 to 14.95 for a good dinner plate. Overall, reviewer will attend restaurant if looking to take a date to a quick, near-by, casually romantic restaurant. Grade: B
The best bread sticks and olive oil in town I love going to this restaurant and dining outside. MCC has the best Italian food ever but only with a modern touch. My favorite thing are the breadsticks that are made to dip in olive oil, these are a feast in themselves. I usually get some type of pasta or antipasta. If you sit inside you can watch the food being made, and outside is a small rod iron garden that is really quaint.
