I received both a MD and PhD in neurobiology from the University of Chicago. I completed a residency in neurosurgery, and fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery, at New York University. I also completed a fellowship in epilepsy surgery. I served four years of active duty as a Major in the U.S. Army. Dr. Lee did my surgery in 1996, resection of a baseball size meningioma left lateral ventricle posterior horn. The Dr. was radical in his approach and removed my ventricle with the tumor. I'm glad he did because I have no regrowth after 20 years. It's a sensitive thing the brain, if you don't take enough out it keeps growing back leading to the risk of more surgery.
