As a grandparent of a 16 year old, finding a counselor that is a good fit can be a challenge. Dr. Feinsilber is the person who made this happen. After four months of therapy, my grandson leaves the sessions feeling more positive and able to meet the challenges he has been facing. I stepped in to help a family member that was in crisis. Never having dealt with mental illness before, I was thrown into a world I had no idea how to navigate. Dr. Feinsilber was our first psychologist when our son was about 6 years old. His diagnosis was right on. But being a mom with our first child, I refused to believe that our son has mental disorders. As time progresses, our son's issues become more prominent. The office admin is so unpleasant that you will be forced to quit and change the specialist. Very rude and insensitive.
Dr. Feinsilber is an excellent listener and extremely intuitive, great at understanding what you really mean in what you say. As a bi-polar woman I have had many therapists. I have never had more empathetic and excellent treatment. I am also impressed with the office manager, Gabriele Pollmeier, who ensures patients receive the kindest and most efficient help required.
Dr. Feinsilber and his office Manager have always been been very professional, very responsive, kind understanding, and caring. Office manager Gabriele returns calls in a timely manner and calls clients in the evening to remind them of their appointment the next day. Very helpful and informative. Due to Dr. Feinsilber's office manager Gabriele, I have decided to choose a different psychologist. Through multiple encounters with her, I found that she is extremely rude and insensible. She tends to calls at unseemly hours which I believe is extremely tasteless especially for a medical facility. Because of having an abbreviated conversation with Dr. Feinsilber, I am unable to give a useful review of his quality of work. He really helped me through my depression. He cares about you and listens to your problems. He's a very reliable support. I can always count on him. I would highly recommend him to anyone suffering from depression/anxiety.
