My experience with Dr. Larkins was very unpleasant. After waiting 45 minutes past my appointment time, he finally arrived. His manner was very impatient and condescending throughout the entire 20 minutes. The atmosphere in his office was very tense and his staff appeared unhappy to work there. Maybe he was just having a bad day as I want to be considerate that he’s not always so irritable.
On my last visit speaking of my previous visit, Dr larkins was re explaining the procedure another Dr explained on my previous appointment. He used completely different terms. When I mentioned that, thats not what the other Dr explained. He said (very very rudly) "Did you not hear anything I said?" I was in shock, and so was his assistant that was in the exam room. Very personal and listens well and is willing to work with you to get positive results. I Would recommend Dr. Larkins to all who need help in managing their pains.
My visit did not go very well. I feel like the doctor didn’t agree with my prior doctors method of treatment (he retired) & prejudged me based on that. I think it was easier and quicker to do that instead of taking more then 10 minutes on a new patient appointment to see me as an individual with individual medical needs. He even questioned my other health issues that where surgically diagnosed. When I made a comment alluding to that, his response was “I won’t see you, I’ll just refund you your money”. This was a follow up visit to address pain management plan and obtain prescription.
Wonderful bedside manner. Patient and willing to answer any questions. Makes sure you understand what is happening before doing the procedure.
I have dealt with low back pain for many years. Feeling hopeless, I finally decided to see pain management. I am so thankful that I did. I was scheduled with Dr. Larkins who during our visit, calmed my nerves and fears about my years of pain. He was patient and kind. He explained my treatment options and now after receiving my first back injection I finally feel hopeful. I am eternally grateful to Dr. Larkins (and his staff) for the care that I have received and for giving me back my life.
