multiple visits, multiple joints...I have a medical device background and Dr M is awesome
An excellent surgeon , always willing to listen and explain things. His assistant Alicia M is also an excellent surgeon and willing to sit and talk. You never feel rushed with either person.
Dr M is a great ortho surgeon, more importantly he treats the patient and cares for the patient. He is happy to spend the time needed so you understand what is going on with you and options.
I would recommend Dr. Messineo to anyone. He's a great surgeon and very compassionate. His staff is wonderful. I especially love Leila. Always there to help and to get you answers.
I am very happy with the care I’ve received. Whenever I have any questions, someone is available to help me. Now I’m not as nervous to have my other knee done someday (I was told needed).

Communication between office staff, the Norwood hospital and the doctor is far from perfect. I had to call the hospital to find out whether or not my MRI report was sent over to the staff. The staff were asked numerous times to do this and did not. Its been 4 days since the MRI was taken and I am still waiting for a call back from the doctor as to what the results showed. They are very willing to take on new patients but beware of who you are dealing with and how inefficient they can be.
I had a plateau tibia shattered fracture on my left leg. Surgery to repair was a metal plate and crews and 2 month in a rehab facility and PT when I came home. It wasn't healing and a very expensive $600 blood test showed I was highly allergic to nickel and titanium. I then had to have a knee replacement to correct the issue, removing all metal and having a ceramic knee placement. 2 weeks in rehab facility and 2 months of PT at home. 130 degree knee, perfect, love the doc and staff!
He's an incredible Doctor! Always knowing what to do and listens and answers all questions. I don't mind when he's running behind because I know he is not rushing his patients when they have questions etc. He is very personable and understanding. I drive 35-40 minutes to see him because he's fantastic. Highly recommended!
