My 83 year old mother has been his patient for 19 years. Saw him September for hip pain. Said it was sciatica. She called the office two weeks later, pain meds not working. Fast forward 2 months with still no contact (multiple attempts made) from Hughes, urgent care doc orders MRI. She has Multiple Myeloma. Absolutely unacceptable. Thank God for the urgent care doc as Dr Hughes cares not. He’s leaving the practice and is “really busy”. The only reason I’m not submitting a board complaint is my mom won’t let me.
