I'm so thankful a friend referred Dr. Goedken to us, when we were frustrated with a health system affiliate, we felt like a number, and were seeking better care for our little ones. I love how he questions other physician's prescriptions, and prioritizes your safety and health. He levels with us and my kids, explaining well, and shows the kiddos how he does his daily work, even allowing them to help him push a button to send off their prescription. This review is long overdue. My father was a patient of Dr. Goedken for years until his passing a few years ago. His compassion and care was so appreciated by my dad and his kids. Everybody should have a Dr. Goedken for a trusted physician. Thank you for taking such good care of dad.
Dr. Goedken is the best doctor I've ever seen. Where other doctors have prematurely recommended expensive procedures, Dr Goedken tries more conservative, risk aware, and affordable methods first. Dr. Goedken recognizes that I have the greatest investment in my own health, and therefore pays close attention to my concerns and respects my medical decisions, which shows trust in me as a patient. And all of that earns my trust back.
Like Mindy K. said, he is cost-conscious and prescriptions don't mean you've been treated properly or will get better with medication. Dr. Goedken listens. Health and safety are his main concern. He makes sure before you leave that he's addressed every concern of yours, even the tiniest.
Dr. Goedken and his staff are very friendly. They're also very attentive to their patients. Dr. Goedken takes all the time a patient needs and you're never rushed. If you require 90 minutes of his time, he'll give you 90 minutes of his time. He listens to his patients, explains everything simply, yet doesn't sugar coat things. He's not prescription-happy and never advises/prescribes anything you don't need. He does his best to keep the cost down for his patients. Highly recommend!
