Had two appointments with him after my primary moved away. Was not impressed at either visit. He didn't listen or seem to take an interest in what my concern was and ran me out the door. Thought i'd give him a 2nd chance because maybe he was having a bad day. Nope. Fairly unprofessional the 2nd time around as well. I was pretty disgusted at St.Lukes for this. I expect better. Hooste won't get a 3rd chance.
A few years ago,I went in to see Dr. Hooste. I told him I wanted blood work done and my insurance paid for 2 blood work tests a year. I explained that I had a history of diabetes in my family on my mother's side. I explained to him I had been experiencing some episodes where I had been in a fog and messed up things at work, which never happens. Dr Hooste is one of the best doctors around. He listens, very informative. When he speaks he speaks with you. I am very comfortable with him as my primary. He is one of a kind. Took care of everything I need and willing to see me at anytime. Could not ask for a better Doctor. His staff is fantastic. His nurse is one of the best. She actually puts your concerns as a priority. Overall the best office!!!
HOOSTIE almost killed me. Lexapro and phentermine combined makes a bad bad cocktail. Serotonin SYNDROME. Even had a staycation in a psych ward to top it off. He never even helped me,after multiple calls to his office. Praise God I'M even alive to see my 50th, on the 13th. Don't trust him, or walgreens. Pharmaceutical error on their part. ALMOST LOST MY LIFE.
Saw Dr. Hooste in August and asked him for a referral for a heart test due to having a friend recently pass away from a heart issue. Dr. Hooste laughed and continued to laugh at me or my request. I remained the professional in the situation and asked clarify questions about the procedure while he continued to chuckle. It was very unprofessional and I will be looking for another doctor that takes my inquiries seriously enough to answer in a professional manner.
