My wife went to see this "doctor". She has been diagnosed with hypermobility EDS by 2 diffrent doctors. She has a doctor and just wanted a second opinion on care. This dude completely ignored her and proceded to gaslight her about how much worse his is. And she can't be because she doesn't have it as bad as him. I had gastric bypass instead of an invasive back surgery 13 years ago. Treated like total crap because I wasn't a vascular eds patient. I was in my 20's throwing my back out by a vacuum. Dr. Lavallee Has been the true Catalyst to my healing journey. Our first visit was in April 2024, Where he officially diagnosed me with Ehlers Danlose. He also confirmed other medical conditions that were assumed/previously diagnosed. I have never had a medical provider as thorough and compassionate as him! Doctor Lavallee quite literally ruined my trust in doctors. I had gone to him for potential help with HSD (Which is what I was diagnosed with at the time) As he had been recommended to me by a cardiologist. I expected to go in there and receive some resources for help with joint pain, and I left his office, sobbing with a diagnosis of “Patient with feared complaint in which no diagnosis was made”, Mast cell activation syndrome, and Obesity.
