Dr. Palumbo is an excellent surgeon. He reviewed my MRI and explained what was wrong and what was needed to be done. He professionalism gave me the confidence to have the surgery. I couldn't have asked for better results. I was up and walking the afternoon of the surgery. I was able to return to work in two weeks. I have been pain free since the operation.
To those considering surgery with Dr.Palumbo, Chief Spinal Surgeon at University Orthopedics: My experience with Dr Palumbo was as good as one could possibly expect. I had two spinal surgeries, one cervical and one lumbar, with a year separating the two and have had no problems with the surgery or post-surgical experience. My discomfort was a one on the scale of 1-10. I have no problems recommending this surgeon and have shared this positive experience with many others.
Dr. Palumbo is a great listener. He gave me adequate time to explain my symptoms and how they effected my quality of life. He included me in the decision making as to the best and appropriate procedure for me. I am pleased with the outcome and follow up.
Dr. Mark Palumbo is a very caring doctor who will diagnose your condition and suggest the best option to treat. He will not rush you into any decision and will suggest steps to treat before surgery. After being in his care and trying other options to no avail, I had a spinal fusion in November of 2016. I feel today most times like I never had the surgery. I am so much better than I was two years ago. Even after the surgery, he is only a phone call away from any concern you may have.
What Dr. Mark Palumbo did for me was nothing short of a miracle !! I've had 5 back surgeries and never thought I would feel as good as I do ! I highly recommend him .
Highly recommend Dr P-put off the surgery for yrs due to fear I had PT for over 2 yrs & 4 spinal shots when it got unbearable I scheduled an appt Dr P said he could remove some but not all pain duet to adv arthritis surgery was scheduled Jan 2018 It was more complex than anticipated surgery was on Wed & Fri home with a walker & pain meds by Sun NO walker or meds I had PT at home and then PT at U Ortho while exercising and walking at home No pain & missed only 1 wk of work
Dr. Palumbo gave me my life back! Not only is he extremely bright and an incredibly talented surgeon, but he's got an excellent bedside manner, which is a combination you don't always get. Three months ago, I had a discectomy and spinal fusion done by him. Prior to that, I had been unable to walk more than a few yards without severe pain shooting down my leg. Post surgery, my nerve pain is completely gone. It's amazing. I am now walking, exercising, and living pain free thanks to Dr. Palumbo!
