My first encounter with Dr. Jonker was for an emergency appendectomy. He was the surgeon on that call that day and I’m so glad, as I later learned he was a bariatric surgeon. I wasn’t too familiar with bariatric surgery so when I went for my appendectomy follow-up, I was able to ask some questions and get to know him better. In our later meetings, Dr. Jonker proved to be very kind, compassionate, patient, and he had a great way of explaining things so that I could understand the process of how a SADI-S worked.
