I took my 11 and a half year old to get her hair done at Mariyam's today. I was a little nervous because my daughter has never had braids before. I can't even part her hair without her screaming and hollering. Upon walking in, we were greeted by Mariyam who was so sweet amd pleasant. The shop also smelled soooo nice and the sofa was so cozy. I got my hair braided about a week ago at Mariyam African Hair Braiding. Let me tell you, the atmosphere was so warm and inviting. Mariyam greeted me with a warm hug as though I was family and my hair looks so good and my braids are so neat. I am very tender-headed with soft, fine hair. The girls that did my hair have a light touch, I could pull my hair into a ponytail without it hurting that same day.
