I can't speak for others but Dr.Carrillo and her team are AMAZING. Dr. Carrillo makes me feel heard and when I have concerns she hears me and also when I hear about new medicine for diabetes she takes her time and talks to me about them. I always ask if there is anything new in the world of diabetes? and she will let me know. She has never rushed me or make me feel rushed. This doctor is TERRIBLE! Please for God’s sake, don’t think you will be the exception. Not only does this doctor have a terrible bedside manner, but she completely blows off the serious concerns you mention to her - as if you didn’t even say them. She completely ignores you and doesn’t respond to you while you talk directly to her. Her secretary is BEYOND rude. Just a vile human being. Seriously. When trying to make an appointment the lady that answered the phone was beyond rude. Life happens and I had a referral to this doctor’s office and she just wanted to judge me and be rude to me for no reason. I would give the 0 stars if I could.
There are apparently five endocrinologists at this scripps location - this is one of them - so I am reviewing he location - not the doctor. I have a PPO which means I do NOT need a referral to see an endo, however this location INSISTS you have a referral. Not just that - but even if you have a referral to scripps AND get transferred to this location - they will demand you get a SEPARATE and NEW referral before they will see you. the Scripps clinic in vista that was referred to have FIVE MONTH waiting list.
