Best Barbershop in Lincoln Park – Mario's is like Cheers, eventually, "everybody knows your name". It is a great place to get a quality haircut or shave, relax and enjoy the eclectic and very diverse crowd. In the current world of impersonal service and artificial sincerity, Mario's is the place for great value and even better values. If only he was a Cub fan!!!
Old Fashioned Barber – I always look forward to my visits to Mario's Place. Mario is the consummate professional, and a great barber to boot. The old fashioned shaves with hot towels and hot lather are unbeatable. They always have the game or a movie on the TV, and Mario always offers his guests a Pabst upon their arrival. He's right by DePaul, and he offers student discounts. He welcomes walk-ins, but I recommend calling to check his availability. I've never had a problem getting in when I call him a day or two in advance.
