Dr. Sessums was my obgyn doctor 8 years ago when I became pregnant. I am just now getting the courage to talk about it because I never felt so belittled during a time that was supposed to be precious moments. Dr Sessums was not very nice at all and would not take time to listen to my concerns. She gave me very short responses and made my visits feel rushed. Not very nice. Visited for a prenatal appointment and it was an ok visit. Just a few standard questions as usual. She seemed very eager to get me on my way and stressed medical insurance. Went back for a second visit. First was an ultrasound then a follow up appointment and was suppose to get lab work done bc my previous pregnancies I needed the RhoGAM shot but she refused to see me because I didn't have insurance and told me not to schedule another appointment until I did and still charged me for the visit she refused. Excellent, easy to work with!
Dr. Sessums delivered my daughter 6 years ago when she was on call instead of my regular doctor. She abused me horribly during my delivery, even to the point of getting a nurse to help her physically force me onto my back and force my foot in stirrups while I was pushing during a drug-free delivery. My daughter was born with one of my legs hanging from the bed trying to fight them off. It has taken me years to be able to talk about it. Dr. Sessums should be banned from treating and abusing women.
I’ve Been a patient of Dr. Sessums for years. She always makes me feel confident in what she says and does. She provides excellent care and I always feel like she remembers me from year to year. As long as I’m in this area, Dr.Sessums is my go to for my favorite girl ♥️
