I went to Royal Oak Beaumont with severe abdominal pain on a Saturday afternoon. Admitted for emergency Laproscopic Cholecystectomy the next day, Sunday. Met Dr. Mario Villalba for the first time prior to surgery while waiting in pre-op. As a retired operating room nurse I'm use to "hand picking " my surgical team. Well God did a better job than me. I had emergency surgery done by Dr. Villalba and he was excellent. He talked to me about what was going to he even called my family afterwards. Grateful to have had him.
An update, Dr. Villaba called me! This post is specifically for Dr. Villaba. I am going to see him tomorrow for my issues. I feel bad for posting my earlier post. If only the office would have told me they could let him know I called and he was going to get ahold of me. I will keep you updated on my visit!!
This is less so about the doctor but more about the staff that seems incompetent. I received a bill for a pretty low amount that I pushed off for a little bit. Then I received checks in the mail and mailed one out with the full balance to them. A month later the payment was taken out. Done. Then I received tons of correspondence about collecting debt or it is going to collections. Dr. Vallaba is a very nice, caring and concerned surgeon who really does care about the well being of his patients. I wish more were like him. My life was turned upside down a few years ago and if it wasn't for him. . . I'm just so grateful. Thank you Dr. Vallaba from mom and sona ~ Carter 6/7/14 Thank you for saving our lives.
