My wife and I aren’t really bar people anymore, we prefer relaxed spots over loud nightlife, but this ended up being a surprisingly fun stop. Located just a short (and very dark) walk from the Hampton Inn Petaluma, Mario & John’s feels like a true neighborhood bar. Echoing what others have experienced, bartender was completely pretentious and cold. My husband asked for a specific drink and the bartender refused to make stating he doesn’t want to make an ‘unbalanced’ cocktail. When my husband stated that he actually liked it and drank it often he still refused in a very snobby way and made him something else… vibes are way offfff
