Horrible, unprofessional, incompetent..... the list of not nice things goes on and on. I've filed many grieveances with my insurance and spent countless hours dealing with billing issues with Marin Health Hospital Billing. Keep good records with these folks, you'll need to CYA and be prepared to have a part time job. Better yet if you can avoid using them....you'll be better off. If I could rate lower than 1-star, I would. Do better MHPFS.
Called three times this week, spend 10 min + each time waiting for someone to pick up, then the system asked me to leave a voice mail, I left three already and no one called me back!
MarinHealth billing is the worst system ever. The people who "help" on the phone don't have thick enough skin to help effectively, continually speaking over you like a spoiled child. They defer to the nasty word of "should" and think that explains everything. Even if you pay at the time for a rendered service, whatever you pay goes toward outstanding bills but they don't send you any proof or confirmation of the amount you sent/paid or to what service it was applied, rendering a co-pay/payment that you've already paid still ... read more
I have lest dozens of messages after being left on hold for 10 minutes only to reach a voice mail with no return call. When I did speak to a representative they were poorly informed and incredibly unhelpful. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
I’ve been seeing my PCP for years and so I stick with Marin Health UCSF for most of my care as she refers me to specialists within their system. Even with referrals or serious illness patients have to wait many Months to get an appointment with a specialist and that is if you can find someone who is accepting new patients. I can’t easily see my PCP for unexpected medical issue I need to wait weeks. It seems there is a shortage a physicians at Marin Health UCSF but systemic failures go way beyond that.
