The owner treated my daughter really bad. She just got done hiking the SHT and had called in a reservation and when she got there he told her she was to tired to stay there and disgusting and to go to another motel. The other hotel in town was booked. Luckily a couple friendly police officers and the DNR drove her to her vehicle in Gooseberry Falls so she could drive on home. Police and DNR 5 stars, but this place two thumbs down. 👎
RecommendedThis place is one of a kind. Wes the owner is someone you need to acquire a liking for. In my experience you can have a love hate relationship with him. I in fact have a love relationship with him. He gave me a bottle of Scotch and a kiss on the cheek. We had a great weekend at his motel. Will definitely be back.
Many years staying here. Very clean rooms . Wes is great once you get to know him. Yes he’s a treat but he takes great pride in his business and will take care of you.
Super clean rooms, stayed a handful of times and never had an issue! If you can’t get along with the owner you have issues, he is to the point and no nonsense but he runs a tight ship and I will gladly spend my money at the mariner!
DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THIS PLACE!!! Myself and a coworker went to rent a room there, and the old man was rude as hell. He was a total asshole. I had trouble understanding his accent when he was laying out ridiculous ground rules for our stay. He yelled at us calling us C..K SUCKERS! GET THE F..K OUT! find somewhere else to stay! He chased us out the door! I have to say I am shocked that anyone can stay in business with this behavior towards people. The old man that runs the place is a piece of shit and shouldn't be allowed to run a business!!! Stear clear of this shithole
Room was bunk and smelled. After a few hours of skank we left to seek another hotel. Came back to change clothes. The owner came unglued called me a blanken idiot and never come back .And go have my head examined, So if you need a POS room. and support a indecent human stay here!
Nice clean place. Quiet and very very clean. Would stay again.
